About Forest Edge Master Thatchers. Forest Edge Master Thatchers is a combined team of Mathew and Sam who started their thatching career from the young age of 16, training with a local thatcher based in Hampshire.

Mathew and Sam have been in partnership since the year 2000, combined they have 38 years experience in the trade. Among their many projects within the industry both Mathew and Sam have worked around the globe in countries such as Spain, Jersey, Ireland and even as far as New Zealand.

One of these projects included providing their thatching services to complete a set on the famous film ‘The Hobbit’.
